Optimism

 

Do you ever feel like the picture above?  I do - all the time.  However, I am an optimist and know that no job or task is worth the risk if you don’t put everything you have into it.  Most things are not supposed to be easy.  If they were, we wouldn’t learn or experience or grow as a person.  We are supposed to step out of our comfort zone - often. 

I worry all the time that the words I write, whether here on this blog or in my novels, will be enough to keep you interested.  But then I remember my passion for writing and somehow my fears get sucked up into the words and I forget that it’s not supposed to be easy.  There are times I struggle to stay on task as distractions thwart my progress.  Some days are difficult at best but even the worst days are good ones when I remember that I’m doing what I love.

It certainly doesn’t stop me.  I hope that fear or distraction doesn’t stop you either.  Be passionate about your dreams.  Be optimistic.  Go for broke.  You’ve got nothing to lose if you succeed.  And if you don’t even try, you’ve already lost.
