A Kansas Poem
I don't know who wrote this little ditty but I laughed when I read it - it brought back too many winter memories of a life lived on the Kansas Plains! We finally had enough sense to get out a few years ago and moved to Florida in mid-July which is hotter than the dickens here. That's the time of year the snowbirds have all fled our sand pile to resume living in their cooler northern climates. I snicker now though because the temperature this weekend is only in the 50's so all those snowbirds are wearing their long underwear, boots and hats! I'm just thankful that we don't live any further north than we do. Ice and blizzards are no longer part of our winter weather vocabulary. Praise the Lord!
