When to Beware

Have you ever heard these words or something similar?  The suck-up-because-I-messed-up agenda.  Boy, I sure have.  From little faces to big ones!   You just know it's going to be bad but how can you be overly mad at that face?  (Little faces tend to fair better than big ones - the big ones should know better!)  I can think back to the boys when they were young and smile as I recall times when they said or did something that was not approved behavior but it took everything I had to keep a straight face.  Sometimes discipline is just plain hard.  Others, not so much.  Just remember when you get this look - it probably won't amount to a hill of beans tomorrow (or in a week or so).  One day, you'll probably even look back at it with fond memories.
