I remember my brother and I doing this every weekend! ABC even had the educational Schoolhouse Rock program so we actually learned something. Unfortunately, you won't find anything like that today. My grandfather worked a large paper route in Lawrence, Kansas and would sometimes bring us fresh donuts on Saturday morning! As an adult, my Saturday's now consist of a healthy breakfast and a cup of hot tea followed by house cleaning, laundry, and quick glimpses of Flip This House on A&E as I walk through the room. (I learn so much watching that show and most anything on HGTV!) Boy howdy - those were the days!
