The Meaning of Grace

Dictionary reference for grace:

n. noun
  1. Seemingly effortless beauty or charm of movement, form, or proportion.
  2. A characteristic or quality pleasing for its charm or refinement.
  3. A sense of fitness or propriety.
Have you ever really thought about the word grace before?  Is it something earned or is it more clearly defined as given?  The word grace came up in a bible study I was involved in earlier today.   Though grace is something that is quite relevant at this particular time of the year, can it mean something beyond beauty or charm or even a legal term?  I believe that if you have faith, that you truly believe that Jesus is your savior, than you can offer grace to those around you.  I don't think that you can earn grace, you can only give and receive it.  Whether or not someone has said or done something to hurt you, offering them grace only comes from living faith.  And this, my friend, is what I strive to do every day.  To not only believe in faith, but to live it and share it with everyone around me, strangers included.
