Family Ties Matter

Grab tissues... because you will need it as you look through these pictures. Todd Bachman, father of the bride, brought his daughter to the beginning of the aisle...he stopped the procession while people were confused at his actions and he walked up to his daughter's stepfather. Todd reached out his hand and grabbed Brittany's stepfather and pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together. NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony..including me! Families are what we make them...make it about your kids and not your ego. Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is...love for your children.   They should always come first.

Blood Moon

While the rest of us slept Sunday night into early Monday morning, Mike Mezeul II of Dallas stayed up and captured this:

Mike's commentary:  After spending 5 hours on a rooftop with an incredible view of Dallas, I was able to create this composite image showing the moon transition from full moon, to full lunar eclipse, and back. Each moon image was shot approximately 10 minutes apart to capture the entire transition. I hope you all enjoy! Feel free to share!

The Problem with Cleaning

I am headed out to clean my garage this morning.  Since my parents are moving into their new home shortly, they are hosting a big garage sale next weekend.  I plan to contribute to it.  So, here's to hoping that I don't get distracted with anything I find out there! 

My mantra:  Keep.  Sell.  Discard.  Repeat.

Be Royals

I have to give a shout out to my home town team, the Kansas City Royals.  They have clinched the American League Central Division for the MLB league.  Congrats to the team and the city!
